Our Story

In the year 1967, Mr. Amarjit Singh Tibb tasted a Lebanese delicacy prepared from pita bread and a whopping variety of stuffing, at Beirut. Enraptured by what his taste buds had experienced, he returned to India.


He realized the Indian palate was ready to experience this remarkable roll with its sumptuous stuffing. His resolute wife Mrs. Surinder Tibb by his side, they experimented for a year to create a perfect blend of curried meats and vegetables that would fill the wrap. This led to the discovery of a phenomenon called “Frankie”, its USP being the Frankie Masala.


It was introduced to family and friends, who sang praises for the innovation. And Tibb’s Frankie was born. Launched in Mumbai (year – 1969), it went on to conquer India revolutionizing the Indian fast food market.


The name Tibb’s went on to become synonymous not only with Quality and Taste, but also with Value for Money. Rest assured, it remains the same till date.


Tibb’s Frankie was registered as a trademark by Tibbs BAR-B-Q which now has its presence all over India.


‘Frankie’ is a registered trademark of Tibbs BAR-B-Q. Usage of the term by any other entity/company will be considered a violation as per Trademark Act 1999.

The Tibb Brothers

Mr. Charanjit Singh Tibb

He joined the organization in the year 1985, following his graduation in Commerce – Industrial and Human Psychology. As the Head of Sales and Finance, he steers Local Marketing and Brand Evolution. It was under his leadership that Tibb’s Frankie ventured into malls and multiplexes.

Mr. Jasmit Tibb

He pursued his education from the prestigious I.H.M.C.T (Institute Of Hotel Management And Catering Technology) and a year of training in advertising from Hendon University of London.


He became a part of the organization in 1992 with a determination to strengthen the legacy of his father and his ingenious product of that time – ‘Frankie’. Making several innovations and additions to the business, he introduced various flavors and increased the range of items. He revamped the look and feel of the outlets, and introduced a very futuristic packaging to provide consumers a better experience. He developed the concept of phugin to palate i.e. going to people’s homes and making live Frankies. Mr. Jasmit Tibb’s leadership helped establish the brand nationwide and set up operations in Dubai and UK.

Tibb’s Frankie Masala

Our famous Frankie Masala is a unique blend of spices that was created by late Mr. Amarjit Singh Tibb and his wife Mrs. Surinder Kaur Tibb in the early 1970s. This recipe is the secret to that scrummy zest which makes our Frankies irresistible. It’s a family secret passed on through generations and we’d love to keep it that way!
